The Parish Council is the first tier of local government covering the parish of Mawnan, which includes Mawnan Smith, Helford Passage, Durgan, Penwarne, Bareppa and Maenporth, near Falmouth. Residents of Mawnan Parish can seek advice and guidance on various matters pertaining to the local area. We will endeavour to assist at first hand, or to forward matters to the unitary authority, the Cornwall Council.
Cornish Sea Salt was set up to bridge the ancient and modern worlds. Production is still inspired by the original methods of harvesting the goodness of the ocean. Referencing century old techniques, took us on a journey around the world to source electrolytes from natural sea salts to enrich our brines, allowing the correct conditions for our sea salt flakes to form.

Kayaking in Cornwall on one of our guided kayak tours is the ultimate way to experience the county’s remote beauty. Our tours last approximately 2 hours and are led by experienced guides using sit-on kayaks.
The magical Ferry Boat Inn enjoys one of Cornwall’s most idyllic locations with beautiful views across the timeless Helford Passage. The pub sits in a beautiful unspoilt cove with direct access to the beach and water and is surrounded by wonderful local walks along the South Coast including the nearby Trebah Garden.
